Research Projects:
1. Energetics, Structural and Optoelectronic Properties of III-V Semiconductor Heterostructure Nanowires 2017-2021
The project investigation was focused on the role of III-V materials for diverse energy applications. The density functional theory framework was utilized for studying the materials under bulk, nano and heterostructure configurations. Effect of crystal structure, strain, pressure, chemical composition, defects, etc., was also studied for getting in-depth insight on the parameters dominating the carrier dynamics.

3. Designing Perovskite Materials for Energy Applications 2025-Present
This project aims to design and investigate the potential photovoltaic materials from Perovskite group. As per the project flow, we will first filter the potential materials through ML algorithms, followed by DFT & MD based investigation of shortlisted materials. The materials that further qualify to possess optimum performance will be considered for experimental validation. The computational research work is being performed on the HPC systems supported under National Supercomputing mission (NSM), India.
