Dr. Ushma Pandya is a distinguished academician with over 9 years of experience in Communication Skills, Soft Skills, Personality Development and Research. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Information and Communication Technology (SoICT) and School of Chemical and Fire Safety (SoCFS) at GSFC University.

Her teaching career spans reputed institutions including GSFC University,  Parul University, ITM Vocational University and The M.S. University. She has taught a wide range of subjects, including English Literature, Communication Skills, Soft Skills, and Personality Development.  A sought-after trainer and resource person, she has imparted various Impact Trainings focusing on the interview readiness of the students.

Dr. Ushma holds a Ph.D. in Social Science on The Twenty-First Century Women as Portrayed in the Novels of Chetan Bhagat from GLS University; and an MA in English Literature from Gujarat University. Along with this, she is G-SET qualified. Her research contributions include multiple publications in National, International and UGC Care-listed journals.

Through her academic and research pursuits, Dr. Ushma Pandya continues to drive innovation, promote research excellence, and nurture holistic student development, making them industry-ready.

  • Have received two Gold Medals for securing 1st position in MA in School of Languages, Gujarat University in 2013 by erstwhile Governer Kamla Beniwal. 
  • Have received a Meritorious Stuent Award by Shri. Arjun Modhvadiya for securing 1st position in MA in School of Languages, Gujarat University in 2013.

  • Imparted an Impact Training with 7th Semester Enginering studetns at Parul University in May 2026.
  • Acted as a Resource Person for Value Added Course (VAC) on Professional Skills for Phramaceutical Careers at Parul University from February to April 2026.
  • Conducted an Expert Talk on Fearless Public Speaking for Engineering students in  Parul University in September 2025.
  • Organized the Faculty Development Programme with a session conducted on Building the Brand at ITM Vocational University in January, 2023 to enhance the knowledge of faculties with hands-on practice. 
  • Organized the Faculty Development Programme with a session conducted on Stress Management and Mindfulness at ITM Vocational University in July, 2023 to enhance the knowledge of faculties with hands-on practice. 
  • Have been a Reviewer in a Humanities and Social Science Journal since January, 2025 and have reviewed 3 manuscripts till date.
  • Excellently hosted more than 20 events as an anchor including University Convocation and University Foundation Day. 
  • Conducted training sessions for Communication Skills, Personality Development and Soft Skills. 
  • Redesigned the whole syllabus of Communication Skills for Degree Engineering as per the current demands from Industry bridging the Industry- Academia gap. 
  • Have been a part of Doctoral Research Committee and Women’s Development Cell. 
  • Signed a contract with All India Radio Akashvani, Baroda and delivered talks on Feminism and Why is Today’s Youth Directionless?
