Sandeep Harivadan Purohit

 

 

A former: Sr. Vice President (Human Resource & Services) - GSFC / Director on Board – GSFC Agro-Tech Ltd / Director at GSFC University.

 

Was a student of the prestigious MS University of Vadodara for 10 years at a stretch, qualifying a total of 5 degrees and diplomas in the process.

 

Possesses over three decades of rich & varied experience and expertise in core HR function, working in Co-operative, Private and Public Sector spread across industries such as Milk & Milk products, PVC, Energy & Mines, and Fertilizers & Chemicals.

 

He is a recipient of several awards in HR, notably the Best HR professional presented by his alma mater. GSFC received the prestigious Indian Chemical Council (ICC) - award in HR excellence during his tenure as Head-HR.

 

He is a former president of Baroda Management Association (BMA). BMA received the best LMA award during his president ship for the year 2013-14, presented by union cabinet minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari.

 

A passionate speaker and a trainer certified by JCI University, USA, he has been awarded as ‘Outstanding Trainer’ by JCI.

 

Has authored three research works, studying various facets of HRM in the Industrial as well as social spectrum. He has also co-authored a book each on the journey of 2 long standing L&D initiatives at GSFC, taken up during his tenure. A coffee table book on the BMA-Annual Management Convention and a compilation of 52 non-stop Friday Evening Talks (FET’s) were also published during his tenure as president-BMA.

 

Loves to invest in YOUTH and has therefore connected to academic institutions as a faculty. He is also a ‘Professor of Practice’ at School of Management & Liberal Arts, GSFC University. Is engaged as a visiting faculty at FMS, MS University, Baroda.

 

Is a member ‘Board of Studies’ at the school of management, GSFC University and at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education & Psychology, MSU. Is a member at the Industry-Academia cell of the PU.

 

Is a member of the ‘board of trustees’ at (i) HR Milestone, a body of HR professionals with a pan India presence and (ii) SPANDAN, a school for the mentally dis-advantaged.

 

To satiate his literary flair, he started contributing articles from August 24 on Life & Career management every Thursday on LinkedIn named ‘Sandeep’s Sermons’ which has completed 45 non-stop editions till date and resonates reasonably well with the fraternity.

 

A fitness enthusiast, regularly participates and completes walkathons (16-20km night treks), cyclothons (up to 100 kms) and marathons (21km category).

 

Currently serves as a Fractional CHRO to a company with pan India presence in addition to his academic engagements.
