Dr. Swati Jayswal is an emerging academician and researcher with specialization in Phytochemistry, Botany, and Plant Biotechnology. She holds a Ph.D. in Botany from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, with her research focused on “Evaluation of Bioefficacy of Selected Allium Species of Gujarat Using Different Polar Protic and Polar Aprotic Solvents”. She also holds a Master’s degree in Botany with distinction, and has qualified the Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) for Assistant Professor.

She has a robust academic and research profile, having authored 22 research papers, 2 books, and contributed several review articles in national and international journals across topics such as phytochemical analysis, antioxidant activity, biofertilizers, biostimulants, and insilico analysis. Her work emphasizes the integration of traditional botanical knowledge with modern analytical techniques.

Dr. Jayswal holds three patents, including one international patent (UK Design/Patent Office) for a Plant Extract Analysing Device, and two national patents relating to hydroponic plantation health monitoring and chromatography tools.

She has mentored over 13 M.Sc. dissertations, focusing on biopesticides, organic fertilizers, and bioactive compounds in medicinal plants. Her dedication to teaching and research is further evident in her active participation in national and international conferences, where she has delivered invited talks, presented oral and poster presentations, and contributed significantly to seminars on plant sciences and sustainable agriculture.

Her accolades include the Young Scientist Award (2019), Golden Petal Awards, and various academic honors from institutions such as the Gujarat Pollution Control Board and Gujarat Science Academy. She has also been awarded for excellence in peer reviewing.

Dr. Jayswal’s teaching experience spans across various institutions including Shree B.K.K.P.S.M. PG Science College, Merchant M.Sc. College (Basna), and currently at GSFC University, where she contributes to academic development, curriculum implementation, and student mentoring.

Beyond academics, she has actively participated in over 60 co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and has delivered popular science articles in the Ankur e-Newsletter on ethnobotany, agriculture, and sustainable practices.

Her research interests lie in phytochemistry, molecular docking, bioefficacy of plant extracts, ethnobotany, agricultural innovation, and ICT-based approaches for plant science education.
