Dr. Aditya Puranik is currently serving as a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at GSFC University, Vadodara, since July 2019. He holds both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where he was awarded a Gold Medal for his academic excellence at the postgraduate level. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the same institution, supported by the prestigious INSPIRE Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

Dr. Puranik has qualified national-level examinations, including the NET-Lectureship in 2013 and GATE in 2016. His research interests lie in the areas of metallogels, coordination chemistry, and the study of catecholase and superoxide dismutase (SoD) activity of copper complexes. He has developed a strong foundation in analytical techniques and has extensive experience in operating and training students on various instruments used in chemical analysis.

With seven years of teaching experience, Dr. Puranik began his academic career as a Teaching Assistant at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. At GSFC University, he teaches a wide range of subjects to B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. students, including Symmetry and Character Tables, Coordination Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry. He has mentored more than 10 M.Sc. dissertation students and is currently guiding two Ph.D. scholars in their doctoral research.

Apart from teaching and research, Dr. Aditya Puranik is actively involved in several administrative and institutional responsibilities. He serves as the Startup Coordinator for the School of Science under the GSFC University Innovation Incubation Technology Applied Research Centre (GUIITAR) Council. He is also the Deputy Technical Manager and Deputy Technical Officer in the NABL Accreditation Team of GSFC University, contributing significantly to achieving NABL accreditation for the analysis of heavy metals in water samples. Additionally, he is the Faculty In-Charge of the Community Service Club, promoting student engagement in social responsibility initiatives.
