Mr. Tanmay Naik is an educator and researcher dedicated to making learning clear, engaging, and relevant. At GSFC University, he teaches English language and communication skills with a strong emphasis on practical application, industry readiness, and cultural grounding and a course on Leadership and Team Building to prepare future/industry-ready employees.

He is currently pursuing his PhD at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University on the Historiography of English Language Education in Colonial Gujarat. His research critically examines pre-1949 educational texts through six theoretical lenses—including postcolonial theory, sociocultural theory, critical pedagogy, cultural capital, imagined communities, and mimicry/hybridity—while aligning these findings with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Beyond his teaching role, Mr. Tanmay Naik has made significant contributions to curriculum design, leadership skill-development modules, and institutional initiatives such as the Finishing School Programme. Guided by academic integrity and a deep sense of responsibility, his work blends historical scholarship with contemporary pedagogical practices. His teaching objectives focus on enabling students to think critically, communicate effectively, and evolve as responsible and culturally aware global citizens.

My work intersects the fields of English language education, history, communication, postcolonial studies, and the Indian Knowledge System. Through my PhD on the Historiography of English Language Education in Colonial Gujarat, I explore how English was taught in the pre-1949 period, what methods and ideas shaped it, and how those legacies still influence our classrooms today.

I am deeply passionate about communicational strategies—finding practical, engaging ways to help students express themselves clearly, confidently, and appropriately in different contexts. Whether it’s for professional settings, academic work, or intercultural exchange, I believe communication is not just about language—it’s about connection.

In the field of postcolonial studies, I examine how power, identity, and cultural negotiation have shaped education in India. Theoretical perspectives such as postcolonial theory, cultural capital, imagined communities, and mimicry/hybridity help me unpack how language both empowers and limits people and how it shapes our sense of who we are.

I am equally committed to bringing the Indian Knowledge System into the conversation. I believe our traditional educational philosophies, ethical frameworks, and indigenous perspectives have a lot to offer in today’s world. My goal is to weave these insights into modern communicational training and curriculum design—so our students can be rooted in their cultural heritage while thriving in a global environment.

In short, I want my research and teaching to bridge the past and the present, helping learners not only gain skills but also understand the deeper cultural and historical forces that shape the way we communicate.
